These new laws do not fully uphold the contracts signed between breeders and families, which creates legal uncertainty and prevents us from ensuring a safe and secure placement. While we deeply value families from California, we must prioritize the legal protection and well-being of both our puppies and our families.

Our Reservation List is designed for families who are open to selecting their puppy based on more than appearance alone. While coat color, markings, and other physical traits are part of each puppy’s unique charm, we believe the qualities that make a puppy truly special continue to develop as they grow. We encourage families to consider each puppy’s emerging personality and overall fit when making their decision.

Families who have specific preferences for color, markings, coat type, or other physical traits are absolutely welcome as well. For those families, we recommend waiting until Reservation List selections have been completed at five weeks of age, when any remaining available puppies will be offered for individual selection based on availability.

Our puppy selection process begins when puppies are five to six weeks of age and marks the final step in preparing your puppy to join your family. Selections are completed in the order that reservations were received, with no exceptions.

Once it is your turn to select your puppy, you will finalize your Health Guarantee and Spay/Neuter Agreement. After all agreements have been completed, your remaining balance invoice will be sent, with payment due at the time of puppy selection.

Our process allows families the time to watch each puppy grow, understand their developing personality, and make a thoughtful choice with confidence. In turn, every puppy begins their journey with a family who truly appreciates who they are and the unique qualities they bring.

My main focus is health and temperament. I put a great deal of thought and care into not only breeding healthy dogs, but raising puppies who naturally carry the temperament needed to become incredible family companions. This isn’t something I rush. I’ve made it a priority to take my time and be intentional with every step while building my program.

I choose to remain a small, hands-on breeder so I can truly dedicate myself to each puppy I raise. That means giving them the time, attention, and care they deserve — not moving from litter to litter, but being fully present for both my puppies and their parents. This level of commitment allows me to create a strong, thoughtful foundation for every puppy before they ever leave my home.

For me, it’s never just about appearance. Of course, I love and aim to preserve the beautiful Husky look , that’s part of why I’ve carefully built my program the way I have. But beyond that, my work begins and ends with temperament. My goal is to raise puppies who are  loving, adaptable, and ready to form deep, lasting bonds with their families.

What I’m truly passionate about is helping create “heart dogs” , those once-in-a-lifetime companions who enrich your life, understand your world, and feel like they were always meant to be yours from the very beginning.

Why it matters:

When health, intentional raising, and temperament are the foundation, it shapes everything about the dog your puppy will become. 

As the AKC describes it, temperament is an animal’s “personality, makeup, disposition, or nature.”

At Blissful Paws, I use a blended approach inspired by both BAB and Puppy Culture. I don’t believe that any single program fits every litter or every puppy. Instead, I pull together the methods that I’ve seen consistently help puppies grow into confident, well-adjusted companions — giving each litter the thoughtful start they deserve.

Here are some of the ways I prepare your puppy for life in your home:

Socialization · Sound Desensitization · Exposure Activities  From the very beginning, puppies are gently introduced to everyday sounds, new textures, different environments, and safe new experiences. These early exposures help them build confidence, learn resilience, and grow into calm, adaptable adult dogs who aren’t easily overwhelmed by the world around them.

Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS)  Between days 3–16, each puppy experiences short, purposeful handling exercises designed to gently challenge their developing systems. ENS supports brain development, improves their ability to handle stress, and teaches them that human touch is something safe and positive. This simple foundation makes vet visits, grooming, and everyday handling much easier as they grow.

Early Scent Introduction (ESI)  Puppies are slowly introduced to new and interesting scents in a positive, pressure-free way. This helps stimulate their young minds, encourages curiosity, and strengthens their early connection to people. I first learned this method through the International Working Dog Registry and GANA conferences, and I adjust it to meet the needs of each individual litter.

Why it matters:  These early experiences shape your puppy during the most important weeks of their development. By the time your puppy comes home, they’ve already been gently guided through the sights, sounds, and challenges of everyday life — making your transition smoother and giving your puppy the confidence they need to thrive from day one.

I currently focus on raising F3 Mini & Toy  Pomskies. There’s a lot of information online about F1, F1B, and other multigenerational pairings, and while those labels can be helpful, they aren’t what truly define the quality of a puppy. What matters most is the foundation behind them, the parents they come from and the care they receive from the very beginning.

I put a strong emphasis on selecting parent dogs with exceptional temperaments and stable, well-balanced personalities. That foundation, combined with the intentional way I raise each litter, creates consistency  puppies who are naturally adaptable, affectionate, and easy to live with. Because of this, my focus is  ensuring that every puppy is given the same thoughtful start and opportunity to thrive.

While some breeders may lead with appearance or technical labels, my priority is the work that happens behind the scenes, building a program rooted in strong genetics, steady temperaments, and hands-on raising. 

Why it matters: Generational terms like F1 or F4 don’t guarantee the right fit. What truly makes the difference is a breeder’s commitment to selecting the right parents and raising each puppy with intention. That combination creates consistency across the litter giving you confidence that whichever puppy you welcome home has been thoughtfully prepared to connect, adapt, and thrive.

Health testing is something I never compromise on. Every Pomsky in my breeding program is fully screened with Embark DNA panels for conditions that can affect both Huskies and Pomeranians. 

This is the foundation of responsible breeding, and it’s a responsibility I take seriously.

Because transparency matters, you can view each parent dog’s results in the Our Pack section. Any outside studs I work with must meet the very same standards — if the health testing isn’t in place, I simply won’t move forward. Your puppy’s long-term wellbeing is too important to take shortcuts.

Why it matters:  Comprehensive health testing helps reduce the risk of hereditary issues and gives your puppy the strongest start possible. With Blissful Paws Pomskies, you can feel confident that every breeding decision is made with your puppy’s future health, comfort, and happiness in mind. 

We understand that bringing a puppy into your home is both an exciting and significant investment. At the same time, we know that in today’s economy, many families don’t have the full amount available all at once, or even within eight weeks. We want every family to feel supported and know that needing a little flexibility doesn’t mean they should compromise on quality, genetics, or the care their puppy receives.

To make the process easier, we now offer Klarna as a payment option through GoodDog. Klarna provides flexible solutions, including paying immediately, paying later, or splitting the cost into manageable installments. This allows families to choose a plan that works best for their situation and bring home a puppy without added financial stress.

A few important details: Klarna does not cover the $500 deposit fee, and is based off your own personal credit score. If you have questions about Klarna or need help navigating the payment process, we’re happy to guide you every step of the way.

Why it matters:  Welcoming a puppy should never feel out of reach just because the full amount isn’t available upfront. Flexible options like Klarna make it possible for families to bring home a well-bred, healthy, and well-cared-for puppy without compromising on quality. It’s about creating an accessible, supportive process so every loving family can confidently welcome their new companion.

No, we do not allow in-person visits to our home. At Blissful Paws Pomskies, our puppies are raised in our family environment, and we prioritize both the safety of our children and the well-being of the puppies. Allowing visitors can unintentionally expose young puppies to illnesses, parasites, or other health risks that could have serious consequences.

To keep everyone safe, we offer FaceTime or virtual visits instead. This allows you to meet and interact with the puppies, watch their personalities shine, and start bonding — all without compromising their health or our family’s privacy. We truly appreciate your understanding and support as we focus on giving each puppy the safest, happiest start possible.

Why it matters:  Keeping our puppies healthy and our home secure is our top priority. Virtual visits let you safely connect with your future companion, ensuring that your puppy arrives healthy, happy, and ready to become a beloved part of your family.

Yes. All Blissful Paws Pomskies puppies are required to be spayed or neutered by 12 months of age. Today, there are several options available — including hormone-sparing procedures — and I encourage families to discuss what’s best for their puppy with their veterinarian.

As an ethical breeder, I feel strongly about doing my part to prevent dog overpopulation. To support this, every family signs a sterilization agreement, and their veterinarian confirms that the procedure will be completed by 12 months. This helps protect both the integrity of my program and the long-term wellbeing of every puppy I place.

Why it matters:  Waiting until 12 months allows your puppy’s body to develop fully, supporting healthy joints and overall growth. This policy ensures responsible breeding practices while prioritizing your puppy’s long-term health — keeping the focus on raising a happy, well-adjusted family companion rather than contributing to overbreeding.

No, Blissful Paws Pomskies does not offer breeding rights under any circumstances. Granting breeding rights is a significant responsibility and should never be taken lightly. Ethical breeding requires extensive knowledge, experience, and a deep commitment to the health, temperament, and long-term well-being of the dogs—not just the appeal of producing puppies.

We firmly believe in protecting the integrity of the Pomsky breed and doing our part to prevent irresponsible breeding practices. Offering breeding rights casually can contribute to backyard breeding, where proper health testing, genetic screening, and thoughtful pairing are often overlooked. This can lead to serious health and behavioral issues being passed down, ultimately harming the dogs and the families who bring them home.

Additionally, not every dog is of breeding quality. Responsible breeders carefully evaluate structure, temperament, lineage, and overall health before ever considering a dog for a breeding program. Allowing every puppy the potential to be bred can lead to overpopulation and dilute the standards that ensure the breed remains healthy and well-balanced.

We also encourage families to be cautious of programs that offer breeding rights on all or most of their puppies, especially without strict requirements or thorough screening. In many cases, this can be a red flag that profit is being prioritized over the welfare of the dogs and the future of the breed.

It also ensures that only carefully selected, fully evaluated dogs are ever considered for breeding in programs that meet the highest standards. That’s why we require all families to enroll in Trupanion’s free 30-day insurance 24 hours  before taking their puppy home. This complimentary coverage provides an important safety net during those first critical weeks as your puppy adjusts to their new environment.

Trupanion’s insurance takes effect immediately, with no waiting period, and covers 90% of eligible veterinary costs — including diagnostics, treatments, and medications. Knowing your puppy is protected allows you to focus fully on bonding and settling them into your home, without the stress of unexpected expenses.

By offering this coverage, we can continue our commitment to responsible breeding and exceptional care, ensuring every puppy leaves our home with the support and protection they deserve.

Why it matters:  The first month in a new home is vital for a puppy’s health and emotional adjustment. Complimentary Trupanion coverage gives families peace of mind, so they can focus on creating a loving bond, knowing that unexpected vet costs are taken care of. This reflects our dedication to responsible breeding, lifelong care, and the well-being of every Blissful Paws Pomsky.

I currently feed our puppies  small breed Diamond Naturals Puppy Chicken. During their time with me, they also enjoy a variety of proteins mixed into their dry food to provide balanced nutrition and all the benefits that different protein sources offer. Dogs thrive on variety, so I rotate protein combinations alongside their Diamond Naturals diet to encourage healthy growth and development.

This brand is widely available at stores like Tractor Supply or online through Chewy, making it easy to reorder when you need it. 

Why it matters:  Keeping your puppy on the same high-quality food they’ve been raised on provides consistency, supports optimal nutrition, and helps them settle smoothly into their new home without digestive upset.

Even with the best food, sometimes families want to switch to a different brand or formula. To make this transition smooth:

1. Start Slow (Days 1–2): Mix 25% new food with 75% current food.
2. Increase Gradually (Days 3–4): Adjust to a 50/50 mix of new and current food.
3. Mostly New Food (Days 5–6): Mix 75% new food with 25% current food.
4. Full Switch (Day 7+): Serve 100% of the new food.

Tips:

• Feed the same number of meals and stick to your puppy’s regular schedule.
• Watch for any signs of upset stomach (loose stool, vomiting). If it occurs, slow the transition and stay at the previous stage a few more days.
• Keep fresh water available at all times.

Following this simple approach helps ensure your puppy adapts comfortably, keeping them happy, healthy, and ready to grow in their new home.

Currently, we focus on breeding Mini  & Toy Pomskies. Because Pomskies are a hybrid cross, hybrid vigor can sometimes result in puppies that grow larger, or even smaller  than expected. While we cannot guarantee the exact adult size of our puppies, we provide our best educated estimates based on genetics and experience. For guidance, we follow the sizing recommendations from the American Pomsky 

Kennel® Club:

For dogs that fall between categories, height is the more reliable measurement than weight. Pomskies are naturally athletic dogs, and maintaining a healthy weight is important — they are not meant to be overweight.

Why it matters:  Pomskies are hybrid dogs, and even within the same litter, sizes can vary. Knowing these guidelines helps families set realistic expectations and ensures your puppy grows into a healthy, active adult that fits your lifestyle.

At Blissful Paws Pomskies, we focus exclusively on Plush and Wooly coats. While standard coats are easier to maintain, we prefer the appearance and texture of Plush and Wooly coats, which we feel highlight the Pomsky’s unique charm.

Yes, Pomskies do shed, and the amount can vary based on genetics, coat type, diet, and how consistently they are groomed. As a mix of Pomeranian and Husky, Pomskies inherit the shedding tendencies of both breeds — moderate shedding most of the year and heavier seasonal shedding, typically twice yearly. Most Pomskies begin shedding noticeably around one year of age, with their largest sheds occurring in the spring and fall. Understanding this helps families prepare for grooming and maintenance from the start.

Steps to Manage Shedding  Proper care can make shedding more manageable, keeping your Pomsky comfortable and your home cleaner.

Brush Daily with the Right Tools  Regular brushing removes loose fur and helps reduce the amount of hair that ends up around your home. Use brushes designed specifically for a double coat to get the best results.

Monitor Fur Changes  If your Pomsky’s coat changes texture or shedding seems heavier than usual, it may be time for professional grooming. Specialized de-shedding treatments can be very effective, including the use of de-shedding shampoo and conditioner, a blow-out process to remove loose undercoat fur with a high-velocity blower, sanitary trimming, and shaping the butt skirt. These treatments not only reduce shedding but also keep the coat healthy and strong.

Avoid Clipping or Shaving  Shaving or clipping your Pomsky’s coat is not recommended, as it can interfere with the natural insulation of their double coat. Regular grooming and periodic de-shedding treatments are the best ways to manage shedding safely.

Provide a High-Quality Diet  Nutrition plays a key role in coat and skin health. Foods rich in high-quality proteins, vitamins, and healthy fats support a strong, shiny coat and can help reduce excessive shedding. A well-balanced diet also promotes overall health and wellness, benefiting your Pomsky from head to tail.

Regular grooming, proper de-shedding treatments, and a nutritious diet keep your Pomsky’s coat healthy and comfortable while helping maintain a clean home. If life circumstances ever change and you are no longer able to care for your Pomsky, we ask that you contact us before making any rehoming arrangements. Whether you have already identified a potential new family or need assistance finding one, we are here to offer guidance and support every step of the way.

Please know this is a judgment free process. Life can be unpredictable, and sometimes difficult decisions must be made. Our goal is simply to ensure every Blissful Paws puppy continues to receive the love, care, and stability they deserve while making the transition as smooth and compassionate as possible for everyone involved.

While our priority is to provide a safe path home for every Blissful Paws puppy, we also have a responsibility to protect the health and well being of the dogs already in our care, future litters, and the integrity of our breeding program. For this reason, every returning dog must meet the following requirements before reentering our home:

• A signed Owner Surrender Agreement transferring ownership back to Blissful Paws Pomskies.

• Complete veterinary records, including vaccination history and preventative care.

• A veterinary wellness examination completed within 24 hours of the scheduled return.

• Negative test results for heartworm, parvovirus, and intestinal parasites.

All puppy placements are considered final. Should a puppy or adult dog be returned or surrendered, no refunds, credits, or financial reimbursements will be provided. This policy allows us to focus on what matters most: ensuring every dog receives the appropriate care, support, and placement they deserve.

Why it matters:  A puppy's future should never be uncertain. By contacting us first, you help ensure your Pomsky never enters a shelter, rescue, or unsuitable environment. Instead, they remain within a trusted network dedicated to their lifelong well being.

This commitment protects every puppy we raise while preserving the health and safety of the dogs in our care and the future of our program. Most importantly, it ensures that if life ever takes an unexpected turn, your Pomsky will always have a safe place to come home to.
